yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

i pulled out my journal tonight to write about a lot of things coming up from my human being story.
old hurts.
new ones.
the usual.

but i pulled out a purple pen
and start writing a long line of
why not me? why not me? why not me? why not me?

i followed it by a line of yes
then two pages of affirmations.
the things that i want to say yes to.
welcome in.

after a long list of specifics
i polished the entry off with a 1/4 page of yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

and then i turned the page and just kept on going.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.

roughly 19 rows by 12 columns.

and i know every one counts.
for something.

For reasons unknown to me, I have never been able to forget this scene from Tron:

In particular the sound of the bit saying "YesYesYesYesYes"

Tron is an old movie about a programmer who gets sucked into a computer with an evil AI. Inside the computer all the programs are like living things and they worship "users" as legendary, godlike beings who control the world.

The name itself comes from "Trace ON" which was one of the first program written to fix bugs in software code, it would trace which line of code was running at any given point and when a crash happened you could hopefully use the trail to figure out why it crashed.

As far as the movie goes, inside the computer Tron is the only program who is resisting the evil AI and the programmer meets up with him and helps him defeat the AI.

The programmer is played by Jeff Bridges (the actor in that scene) who was the villain in Iron Man and the doctor in K-Pax, and the hero in Starman, etc.
