jealousy

let jealousy be your teacher. jealousy can lead you to the very places where you most need healing. it can be your guide into your own dark side and show you the way to total self-realization. jealousy can teach you to live in peace with yourself and with the whole world if you let it.

The problem is that jealousy, like acid, is corrosive. It does pull you apart more and more the longer you let it eat at you.

Use it as a signpost to show you what to let go of.

And then go look at your legs in a full-length mirror and realize other people should be jealous of you. =)

this quote is actually from a whole chapter on jealousy in a book i'm reading (not written by the woman who made this quote). if it hadn't have been midnight, i would have transcribed about half the chapter. so yes, i think the jealousy that society says is "natural" in this situation is something i am seeing as a growth opportunity.

ha! and the leg comment made me SMILE! of course, in this situation, i can flagrantly use my height (long legs and all) as a reason that i am obviously too tall and inadequate, but actually, i haven't noticed too much of that in my inner monologue. even when we three were hanging out. i don't remember feeling "too tall."

There is no such thing as too tall. And no such thing as too leggy either.
